The ground is ready for Mumbai Indians and Gujrat Titans to go fiercely against one another for the Qualifier 2 match of the IPL 2023. The most-awaited match is scheduled for playing at the Narendra Modi Stadium that is in Ahmedabad on May 26, Friday.
These two teams played two matches against one another, and each team bagged one match on their scoreboard.
Gujrat has been on top of the league by winning 10 matches out of 14. They lost the last qualifier 1 match to CSK on May 23, Tuesday in Chennai. They are looking forward to beating MI so that they get to secure their title against CSK.
In the last crucial match, MI beat LSG, and GT also did a favor by winning the match against RCB.
In Qualifier 2, there is a chance of breaking three records. The first could be Rashid Khan for taking the most number of wickets in one season as a spinner. He has been terrific this season and is in second place for taking 25 wickets in 15 matches.
He would have to take at least 3 wickets in this match to beat Yuvendra Chahal, with the record of taking 27 wickets.
The second record could be Rohit Sharma’s for completing 4000 runs in IPL as captain. Since 2013 he has bagged five championships as the captain of Mumbai Indians. If he scores 22 runs against GT, he will complete 4000 runs and join the league with Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
The third record is for Suryakumar Yadav for being in second place as an Indian who scored 550+ runs in one IPL season for MI. Sachin Tendulkar is the only Indian player who made 618 and 553 runs in the 2010 and 2011 IPL. He has got 544 runs this season. Another 6 runs can put his name under the Master Blaster himself.
