After Chris Gayle, Kohli becomes the second player to cross 10,000 runs in T20 cricket format. However, even though he is the second one to reach this honorable landmark in the world, he is the first to accomplish this target in India. On Sunday, he achieved this score when his team RCB was clashing with the MI in Dubai at this year’s IPL.
A Great Victory For Kohli
Indian Captain Virat Kohli reached the 10,000 run landmark on Sunday in all cricket formats, including domestic matches, international matches, and franchise games. He is the second cricketer in the world to reach this landmark after West Indies player Chris Gayle. It was a proud moment for Kohli because he earned this score in both T20 and ODI games.
Kohli was playing the 314th match of IPL when he pulled Jasprit Bumrah to score a six. So at that very moment, Kohli achieved this record. The fourth over in the IPL match after RCB was sent to the field for batting.

Virat was only 13 runs short when he came to play this match. He has confirmed that he will step down from captaincy once this IPL is over. So, it was undoubtedly a proud and happy moment for all cricket fans to see Kohli achieving this score while he was still the team captain.
Before this match took place on Sunday, the 32-year-old batsman scored runs with an average of 44.61 in 298 innings. In addition, he managed to score five centuries and 73 fifties. Individually, his highest score so far in Cricket remains 113, with a notable strike rate of 134+.
What We Think
We think Virat’s impressive batting record in his career so far can speak of how competent this athlete is. It is not a piece of cake that he has crossed the 10,000 runs threshold in much less time in his career. We are happy that he got to see this victory while he was still RCB’s captain. We wish the player all the very best for his future.
