Rafael Nadal has managed to be at the very top of the tennis list for the longest time. And with his supposed return approaching fast, the hype is getting more and more real. The Spaniard recently announced his comeback in the Australian Open in 2024.
However, some people are wondering whether or not the Spaniard will have it in him to go against younger players in the league. But someone special shared a piece of news that can allay all the speculations.
Right after announcing his meteoric comeback, Nadal has taken the challenge to prove his worth by undertaking a grueling few months of training in Kuwait. He is currently accompanied by the young tennis star Arthur Fils. Nadal is trying to train like he used to do when he was young.
Rafa Is Going To Be Playing This Year
A few months of training have passed, and Fils just shared an exciting piece of news. Fils shared an amazing piece of news via Rafa’s former coach Ivan Ljubičić. In a recent media outing, Ljubičić shared the news of Rafa’s status. He said, “Nadal? Fils wrote to me that he is playing at a very high level. I still expect great things from Rafa.”
Apart from Ljubičić, Nadal’s colleague and friend Lukas Rosol has some exciting insight. Rosol just said, “Yes, Rafa will start again soon, probably already in AO24 (Australia Open). It is gonna be a big challenge because he is already 37 years old, and for sure he will face many problems and challenges. I think it will be his last year and a maximum of 12 tournaments. I don’t think he can do more.”
While Rsosl made a practical commentary, fans are not sparing him and twisting it to turn it into something ugly. Nonetheless, the subject of concern is not Rosol but Nadal himself. Ket’s hope that he comes back bigger and stronger.
