Russel Wilson has had a long career. In his 12-year career, Wilson has been able to secure or hold less than 100 passing yards.
Wilson’s 13 out of 22 passing resulted in the Broncos losing 19-8 to the Kansas City Chiefs and subsequently fell to 1-5 on the season. Wilson’s total stat includes two interceptions of 95 yards, and he was in the sack four times. This was not a performance that fans were happy about.
Naturally, once the match was over, fans took to their social media to lambast the player for his poor performance.
The Long Con
Some of the comments included,

‘No way they’re paying Russell Wilson all that money to throw 95 yards in an NFL game. They might as well line up in the wishbone formation and run triple option like Air Force’,
‘Russell Wilson really threw for less than 100 yds lmao Broncos are 1000% drafting a QB next year.’
Some fans were even calling for Wilson’s replacement, and they were rightly so. Wilson’s abysmal performance choked the Broncos, and they failed to perform the way they wanted.
As a result, the match did not go along the lines that the Broncos wanted or had in mind. Fans are currently wondering what the team’s next step will be.
