Boasting one of the finest In-Season group stage records, the Sacramento Kings are hosting the New Orleans Pelicans in the quarterfinal rounds. The Kings are trying to maintain their status as one of the top most offensive teams this season. However, even after everything, the former is still carrying the burden of a losing record. Furthermore, players like De’Aaron Fox, Keegan Murray, and Malik Monk are already struggling to keep up with their performance to catch up to the New Orleans Pelicans.
The match was one of the finest in a while. In the very first quarter, the team combined a total of 71 points. While the Kings scored 36 points, NOP scored around 35 points. However, the situation turned sideways in the second quarter.
Pelicans vs Kings
As the game between the Pelicans and the Kings progressed, the latter found themselves in an unprecedented fix. Just when things were looking good, Murray was observed tending his back. Even though there is no official disclosure of injury, fans think otherwise. According to some reports, Murray faced some discomfort when he was contesting a baseline jumper from Ingram. This incident took place when there was just seven minutes left. But Murray seemed fine for the moment.
However, things seemed different in the half-time. During the half-time, Murray was given the green signal to join the game. However, he was clearly seen struggling. In fact, he was seen bracing his back every time he got a chance. Still, he managed to contribute significantly. However, this was not enough for the Kings to stay afloat, and by the third quarter, Pelicans were leading by 100-91.
Even though Kings fans are not happy with the loss, they have agreed that their favorite team has actually played well and missed by an inch.
