It is the final day of the Commonwealth games 2022, and India has already bagged a total of 57 medals; among that, 22 bronze, 15 silver, and 20 gold.
Another time, the Indian Flag was hosted, and “Jana gana mana” was played in the back when India’s Double Olympic medalist shuttler PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen won the women’s and men’s singles titles in badminton.
In the women’s singles final, Sindhu beat Michelle Li from Canada. When this “Desh ki beti” made all the Indians proud, Lakshya Sen also proved that “Desh ka beta” is not less than anyone and defeated Malaysia’s Tze Yong NG in badminton men’s singles and that too in three games.
The men’s badminton doubles pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have started to play against England Ben Lane and Sean Vendy.
While the Indian women’s hockey team secured the bronze medal yesterday, the Indian men’s hockey team is getting ready to square off against Australia in the gold medal match by today evening.
Achanta Sharath Kamal has won another bronze medal in the table tennis men’s singles final.
Including the two gold medals PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen, they have brought for India, the total count of gold medals for India is 20. But, it is not the end; though it is the last day of the Commonwealth Games 2022, India still has opportunities to win 2 more gold medals.
Fingers crossed, and let’s see what is waiting for us.
All the best to the ones who are letting us hope for some more gold medals.
