IPL Is Coming Again
During the first phase of IPL 2021, many covid-positive cases were reported, which is why the match was postponed in May. But, as things have cooled down a bit regarding the pandemic restrictions, we will again watch the second phase of the game beginning on 19th September.

BCCI has shared the confirmed news of this event, and according to them, the final match of this season will be played on 15th October. As the BCCI has always been eager to finish the tournament in a 25-days window, they seem to be reasonably confident this time hosting it in UAE.
According to our sources, a BCCI official told the ANI that they had conducted a formal discussion with the ECB about the availability of foreign players. So, it looks like the ECB has given an approving nod to the BCCI in its regard. So, we can hope to see a full-fledged clash among all the teams since all the players will be restored in their respective teams.
BCCI’s Response To This Event
The BCCI seems to be reasonably confident that they will get all the foreign players on board before the match resumes on 19th September. Most of them will be available for the games, but some of them may not turn up. If they confirm the news of the absence of some players, they will proceed with the future course of action accordingly.
The BCCI official also said that if they miss some foreign players, the team balance will be lost. So, that’s indeed a matter of concern for all of them now. But, as they have got a positive response from the ECB, they keep their fingers crossed and hope for the best.
The franchise further ensured that the games would resume after abiding by all the Covid protocols and restrictions. They don’t want to put any player’s life at risk, so whatever restrictions the UAE government has made for Covid safety will be strictly applied to the IPL teams.
What We Think
We are ready to witness the most exciting cricket championship of the year once again and are keeping our faith firm on the availability of foreign players. We just want to see all of them in action once again. So, we hope to get some positive news on this event soon to keep you updated.
