Resuming the match on the second day with 147/2 in 24.1 overs, batsmen Virat Kohli (122) and KL Rahul (111) took over. Soon enough, the duo was hitting it hard, and after the match was over, the scoreboard read 256 for 2.

Even though fans are lauding the two batsmen who held the line till the very end, it was Rohit Sharma and Shubhman Gill who laid the foundation with their masterclass batting.
The duo scored a total of 114 runs in the first 16 overs. This boosted the overall morale of the team and paved the way for KL Rahul and Virat Kohli, who made the magic happen.
