Tarik Cohen is all set to make a comeback. After being away from the NFL for two seasons back-to-back, the running back is biding his time to make an explosive comeback. Due to a severe knee injury sustained by him in the third week of the 2020 NFL season, Tarik had to sit out the rest of the season.
Last year stars were also not aligned properly for the NFL star, as he injured his Achilles during a workout session. This further pushed his attempt to come back even further. But finally, the time has come. After being away from the gridiron for around two years, Tarik is all set to make a comeback with a brand new team.
The former Chicago Bears All-Pro running back is in the rumor to join the Panthers backfield, assisting Miles Sanders and Chuba Hubbard, after the recent relieving of Cohen by his former team. This might be a new chapter in the player’s career, as he is trying to turn a new leaf.
The Story Before The Injury
Tarik Cohen was enjoying a great career streak. He was producing results while playing for a major league. Before the injury, Cohen nearly amassed around 1,600 all-purpose yards in his rookie season alone.
By the time it was 2018, Cohen had turned into an All-Pro Performer. Therefore, he had a bright future ahead of him. But things turned sour as he started running into injuries more and more. When Cohen was asked about his comeback, Cohen replied, “I want to be the player that I was before I got hurt.”
With the news of his new drafting, Cohen might finally have his chance to shine again how he used to. But, given how his luck has turned out recently, let us hope that he does not find himself in the throes of another injury.
