This Wednesday night was a huge moment for the Chicago White Sox as they traded veterans Lucas Giolito and Reynaldo Lopez to the Angels. While speaking to reporters, Giolito said that it was a surreal moment for him even though he knew something like this was on its way.
Giolito added, “A lot of emotions…I grew up here as a player and as a man. A lot of failure, a lot of success. I owe this organization so much. The city, the fans, it’s been an absolute pleasure.”
Therefore, he expresses his sadness upon leaving the organization that gave him his first break.
Still, like a true pioneer, he is looking forward as well. When asked what he thinks about his new team, he further added, “I like what they have going on. The push that they’re trying to make. I’m excited to be a part of that.”
Lucas Giolito’s Words Of Wisdom:
After Lucas and Reynaldo, it could be Lance Lynn’s time to be traded, as the team is currently looking forward to shaking up the old roster and bringing in new blood.
When Lynn was asked about his alleged move, he said, “Everyone around the league is telling me that I’m gone, but I have yet to hear anything from anybody here, so you never know…In the past, I’ve had a little more communication, knowing what’s going on, knowing what may happen. This is one of those things you just prepare for.”
Could this prove a new dawn for the White Sox, or would it mess up the overall team synergy further? This is something only time will tell. As of now, the White Sox are looking forward to creating newer waves by revamping their overall roster.
When Giolito asked about his former team’s current state, he added, “It’s very unfortunate. It is been hard to find a rhythm and consistency with all that stuff going on.”
Therefore, fans just need to wait and see if this move would actually prove fruitful. Keep following our page for more such content.
