Golf has maintained itself as a poignant sport, but the Ryder Cup 2023 is filled with drama, and boy, it is spicy!
The first notable thing that happened was Europe’s clean sweeps by the Friday foursomes and then Rory McIlroy’s incident involving the Americans. All in all, the Ryder Cup is a spicy affair that just keeps on giving.
After Mcllroy, it is time for Brooks Koepka, who is under the light. If we get into specifics, it is mostly his caddie. Still, Koopka is the bigger fish to fry, so he is definitely sharing the spotlight on this one here.
Koepka’s looper has spilled some astonishing pieces of information about what happened during the biennial event regarding none other than Rory Mcllroy.
Bagman Accused Rory After Altercation: La Calva Incident
Everything started on the Saturday of the Ryder Cup when we saw several bagmen and caddies fighting amongst each other when Mcllroy intervened to diffuse the situation.
Following the incident, a tweet by the NUCLF GOLF described the whole situation on their social media handles. According to the details shared by the account, Rory’s reaction was actually a culmination of the LaCava event.
According to Ricky Elliot, one of the bagmen involved, “[He] went at me (Elliot) in the middle of the foyer at the hotel,” therefore putting Rory’s professional reputation at risk. However, this is not the first time. Earlier, Rory Mcllroy had a similar experience with Cantlay’s caddie.
Before it was long, fans started drawing parallels between the two incidents, and some even went on to lambast Rory for his behavior. But the Irishman was quick to realize his faults and went on to reach an amicable situation with McKay.
