The middle-order batsman knew every shot of cricket there is in the book, and that is why everyone will miss his absence thoroughly. Besides his family members, numerous tweets came to our notice that seems to glorify this shooting star’s reputation.

Rajat Sharma tweeted that he will miss the presence of this cricket commentator. He also says in his tweet that the entire cricket world has witnessed a significant loss as Yashpal Sharma is no more between us. Even Samip Rajguru tweeted that it is unfortunate news to share that Yashpal Sharma is no longer alive. He wished his soul to rest in peace. These heartfelt condolences spread all over the internet since Tuesday makes us realize what a true gem we have lost this year.
The glorified cricketer had his best score against England in the year 1982, with a solid 140. With nine fifties, and two centuries, Yashpal Sharma managed to uplift his cricket career, and we remember each important chapter of it. Even in the 1983 World Cup semifinal, he had the top score of 61 against England, which made him memorable.
Though this person is no longer present between us, we will notice his intense performance in the upcoming movie ‘83’ starred by Ranvir Singh. In the film, the actor Jatin Sharma plays the role of Yashpal Sharma, and we hope he does justice to this great personality’s contribution to the 1983 World Cup win.
After retiring from the cricket field, he became involved in several other roles. As a selector or an umpire, he also served the role of a cricket expert in India. Even the Indian Cricket Board, the Punjab, and Haryana Cricket will never forget his contributions. We also saw him being the coach of the Uttar Pradesh cricket team.
As a person, he was also generous and kind. The former Indian Cricket captain Sourav Ganguly had a great tiff with coach Greg Chapel, and Yashpal Sharma supported him truly during that rough phase. That is why his contribution to the cricket world is not only on the field but resides in every persons’ heart.

With his excellent defensive skills on the field and his daring attitude outside, this player was the top scorer in the entire 1983 World Cup season. From his early debut in 1978 against Pakistan to his top-scoring winning streak in 1983, this cricketer has managed to carve his name in every cricket lover’s heart. Even when he played the Ranji, his highest score of 8,933 runs in 160 matches makes him worthy of remembering.
Indeed he is no more present between us. But, it is his glittering career and his contribution to the cricket world that will keep Yashpal Sharma always alive amongst us. When we watch any challenging match of cricket, we will surely miss the professional opinion of this cricket expert. Unfortunately, we had to lose him so early.
The cricket world needed his values, knowledge, experience, and expertise a bit more to bless the younger generation. We wish his family to overcome this loss. But, it is difficult to say how long it will take the cricket fans to get over the loss of this star.
