The 2023 season was a mixed bag for Tamara Clark. On one hand, She was banned by the Athletics Integrity Unit, also known as AIU, on the charge of using IV infusion. The ban lasted from 1 February 2023 to 30 May 2023.
This fiasco not only kept her out of the track during the period of the ban but also affected her performance during that time frame.
On the other hand, Clark, along with her 4x100m relay teammate, achieved one of the fastest qualification times, clocking at 41.59 seconds.
But if we shift our focus to the Diamond League, Tamara is yet to make a mark even after four appearances. As of now, Tamara Clark is sitting in the 26th position of women’s 100m standing and 18th in the 200m. So, things seem a little grim on that front.
In a rare ray of sunshine this season, Tamara’s exceptional performance at the 023 Gala dei Castelli won her the 200m event in under 22.6 seconds, beating Sashalee Forbes of Jamaica.
The Pick Me Up
With no race scheduled this season, Tamara is now living the off-season life to the fullest.
One of the first things that Tamara did was treat herself to a Drake concert. With no major win in her kitty this season, Tamara deserves a little ‘pick me up’ before she heads on to the next season.
Just before the concert, the track sensation did an outfit check on her instagram handle. Soon enough, the post went viral as fans flocked to shower the athlete with love and support.
A reputable X handle, Track Spice, shared the post. The post’s caption said, “Off season Shenanigans. Tamara Clark before the Drake Concert.”
