Sporting fans are absolutely overjoyed by the 2023 Pan-American Games that are being held in Santiago, Chile. Ever since it started, the games managed to capture the attention of the majority of sporting fanatics.
Chile is not only the host nation but is also the center of the spotlight. This amazing celebration of athleticism has brought some of the elite athletes from across the American continent to compete side by side across 39 sports.
Amongst them all, Kayla Hankins, Keely Ainsile, and Mandy Marquardt are the center of attraction.
Pushing Through The Challenges
The three young cyclists demonstrated exceptional skills and gameplay. However, one athlete deserves an extra bit of appreciation due to the challenges that she faces and yet manages to rise above. Mandy Marquardt is a diabetic athlete.
Therefore, her amazing perseverance and securing such a significant position has made it everybody’s jaw drop.
Marquardt’s unyielding spirit and dedication were the sole drivers. Even the USA Cycling Association has shared a post in celebration of the amazing feat that these ladies’ demonstrated.
The post read, ‘It’s for the Women’s Team Sprint squad of @keelywheely472, @kaylahankins1, and @mandymarquardt! What a ride for these ladies who also set a new National Record at the #Santiago2023 Pan Am Games!”
But this does not mean that this was Marquardt’s first rodeo. Before the Pan-American Games, Marquardt managed to ace at least 27 other sporting events. Therefore, it is understandable why her supporters laud her as one of the finest cyclists in the present world.
