Neeraj Chopra’s story is an inspirational one. He comes from a small village in northern India. So, he became the first Indian ever to win Gold at the World Athletics Championship on Sunday.
He shared the podium with fellow athletes Kishore Jena (5th) and D P Manu (6th), it was a proud moment.
On Sunday, India became the fourth country to have three finalists in the top ten. This was a huge moment for the sports community of India. It shows the country’s rising strength in sports ever since Chopra won gold in the Tokyo Olympics.

Harinder Kumar, a former athlete and colleague of Neeraj Chopra, is providing track and field caching to interested kids after their schools. So, Harinder started this endeavor with just a few number of students and a dream.
Now, his class is close to around 45 students. Harinder has said to the media that Chopra is an integral part of this humble training institute. Moreover, the latter often provides pieces of equipment and monetary support to his humble training institute.
But what Neeraj is primarily doing is inspiring these young kids to do something that is bigger than their community and life itself.
