Today marked a very important day for the AFL as two of the biggest juggernauts clashed on the gridiron. And Aaron Rodgers was at the very thick of things. Recently got traded to the Jets as a Quarterback.
Aaron Rodgers was one of the biggest additions to the Jets this season. He was supposed to be the driving force that would lead the Jets to the victory stand.
However, things took a wrong turn as the four-time MVP, Rodgers, suffered an ugly injury in the very first half of the Monday night match between the New York Jets and Buffalo Bill.
The blow left Rodgers incapacitated for the rest of the match, and things were looking grim for a second. Still, the Jets seemed to manage on their own and clinched a 22-16 overtime win.
According to the team officials, as reported to the media, “The MRI is probably going to confirm what we think is going to happen, so prayers tonight… But it’s not good.”
This ominous message sent fans off the edge, who were really hoping to see Rodgers perform his magic on the gridiron.
The Injury & Celebration
Doctors have not confirmed anything as of late. However, sources suggest that Rodgers might be facing a torn Achilles. A torn Achilles tend to take around four to six months to recover.
Therefore, this could mean that Rodgers might be spending the rest of the season sidelined.
But what is bad news for some might be the cause of celebration for others. As A-Rod announced the news of his swap, fans were not kind to him.
In fact, a pub named Jack’s American Pub in Milwaukee launched an offer saying that they would offer free drinks if Aaron Rodgers lost certain games. But with Rodgers probably out of the picture this season, the bar revoked the offer. This shows how heated things can get for football fans.
