August 2nd marked an iconic day for Juventus and Real Madrid fans. The two footballing giants butted heads in the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
The venue was packed with fans from both sides, as fans flocked the stadium in droves to see the Serie A and La Liga giants clash in a pre-season match.
This was a consecutive loss for Real Madrid. After a ‘devastating’ loss against Barcelona (3-1) in Las Vegas, Los Blancos hoped to redeem themselves. However, things did not pan out quite as planned. This match marked the end of Real Madrid’s 2023 US tour.
Things did look optimistic for the team in the first two matches of the tour, where the team won against AC Milan and Manchester United by (3-2) and (2-0) respectively.
The Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, went ahead with the diamond formation for the starting XI. However, there were some changes.
Modric and Krros started the match while Tchouameni was benched for the first half, while Joselu started as Vini Jr.’s strike partner.
Other Problems In The USA Pre-Season Tour For Real Madrid
Some lingering issues did persist in the opening quarter of this game as well. Real failed to put any pressure on the mid-third. As a result, Juventus was able to repeatedly break the Real’s line of defense.
However, things were different after the hydration break. Madrid seemed to up the ante and executed some well-coordinated sequence.
As a result, Madrid was able to breach Juventus’s defensive wall. Still, things did not work the way they should have, and the match ended with a 3-1 scorecard. This left the fans wondering about the team’s preparation for the upcoming season.
Nonetheless, fans have not abandoned the los Blancos and standing by their side for the upcoming season, no matter what.
