Prison is not a place where you lock away the ‘filth.’ In fact, it is a place for rehabilitation, and the prisoners are human beings that lost their ways. Such a way of thinking helps in humanizing these convicts. In a recent video from one such prison, one prisoner was seen demonstrating amazing basketball skills.
The prisoner was an absolute wiz with the ball. In a short compiled video, the prisoner was seen dunking repeatedly. This got the attention of basketball pro Damian Lillard. He has a request for his business partner Kim Kardashian. Kardashian is a huge name in the world of criminal justice reform.
The Left-Handed Wizard
Lillard posted a story of a left-handed prisoner who is decimating everyone on the basketball court. Dame, in his iconic style, wrote, “Depending on the crime, we might need Kim K to go get that dude outta there lol.” Let us look at the video to decide for ourselves.
There is no doubt that the man has got some serious skills. Even after multiple defenders block his way, he still manages to dunk every time. Furthermore, he is smooth with his dribbling skills and shot accuracy. As of now, we do not know why the man is in there. If his crimes are not severe, he should be given a shot at a better life.
Howevevr, these things are easier said than done. There are ‘1,566 state prisons, 98 federal prisons, 3,116 local jails, 1,323 juvenile correctional facilities, 181 immigration detention facilities, and 80 Indian country jails’. Therefore, finding one left-handed prisoner is like finding a splinter in a forest.
