Some would say that Sean Strickland ‘showed Izzy his place.’ But is there something more to that story than what meets the eye? Well, we do not know, to be honest.
But we do know that Israel Adesanya is definitely not happy about his recent loss against Sean Strickland. The loss has absolutely blindsided Izzy as he lost the belt.
While some believe that the loss was a result of Izzy bending or shifting his style of fighting. Or the fact that Izzy was just not a match for Sean.
But all those are speculations. Lucky for all the combat fans like us, Izzy shared a video on his YouTube channel discussing the real reason behind his loss.
The loss not only blindsided Izzy but the fans and critics alike. Earlier this year, Izzy fought tooth and nail against Alex Pereira to reclaim his belt, intending to hold on to it.
Therefore, nobody expected Sean Strickland to punch so hard to knock the lights off of Adesanya. In fact, people expected quite the opposite, given Strickland’s recent fight stats compared to Izzy’s.
Izzy’s Perspective On The Loss
In a recent video, Izzy took center stage once again to discuss the harrowing loss against Strickland and how he felt afterward.
In the video, Israel Adesanya was heard saying things like, “How did I feel in there? Like a bad dream… Like you’re trying to hit the guy and just feels like noodle arms like just like, the fu*k.” Adesanya and Strickland both had plans for the fight. The only difference is that Strickland’s plan was working, and Izzy’s was not.
Izzy then went ahead to discuss the emotions in more detail and said, “Just wasn’t able to like just get my rhythm because of his pressure…He was right there constantly and whenever I was setting him up because he’s right there then his coach would help him and I’d be like fu*ck and yeah. It was just a good game plan from there and but also for me I wasn’t able to adjust on the fly.”Keep following our page for more sports-related content.
