The sports industry has become more inclusive with time. Still, there are not many female entrepreneurs in the industry who could be role models for young females. Amongst the few, there are, Jeanie Buss is the one with distinction.
Lauded as the first female owner of a championship-winning team, the Los Angeles Lakers, Buss is setting newer benchmarks that more people should follow suit.
Back in 2013, Jeanie Buss inherited her father’s fortune along with ownership rights of the iconic LA Lakers. However, this wasn’t her first rodeo, as Jeanie held around 4 decades of professional knowledge prior to her inheritance.
But apart from being an entrepreneur, she is also a woman who has a beautiful personal life.
Apart from tending to official matters regarding the team, Jeanie Buss also attended to some personal matters. In an intimate ceremony held over the weekend, Jeanie Buss married the comedian Jay Mohr at the sunlit beaches of Malibu.
Sources suggested that the couple wanted the ceremony to be intimate and without the intrusion of paparazzi. As a result, the couple invited only 20 of their close friends and family members.
A Forever Kind Of Deal
Similar to Jeanie, Mohr is an individual who loves to keep himself busy. Initially rose to fame with Saturday Night Live. Later on, he became an integral part of the famous film Jerry Maguire.
He is also the founder of NBC‘s Last Comic Standing and even found success in radio broadcasting with FOX Broadcasting.
Therefore, both the couple are well-established in their own right and have a good thing going for them. Sources suggest that the ceremony was meant to be a starting point of a new chapter in both their lives.
