Eight-time Jamaican gold medalist Usain Bolt has finally broken his silence after the major $12.7 million scam from his account at the Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL). He is ready to move courts in order to reach the roots. According to his lawyers, Bolt is now left with only $12,000.
The thirty-six years old retired Jamaican sprinter had investments with the firm SSL for over a decade. Recently he has noticed a few discrepancies. When the Financial Services Commission (FSC) of Jamaica investigated SSL, they figured that Bolt’s account had dwindled to mere $12,000 inexplicably.
While Bolt was silent for a few days, he recently took to twitter to express how shocked and disgusted he is with the entire situation. With the hashtag #CrypticWorld, on 16 January, he stated:
In the series of tweets, he also mentioned, “In a World of Lies… Where is the Truth? The History Evil….What is the Root?…MONEY”
“All the relevant steps have been taken to come to the bottom of this,” Usain Bolt’s manager, Nugent Walker, spoke to The Gleaner. Bolt is shattered by the fraud of such a big scale as he was involved with the firm for a span of ten years. However, he is ready to fight back. And this is something that is clear from his post on 18 January:
The FSC mentioned that it was “aware of reports of allegations of fraud” against Stocks and Securities Limited. “The FSC will simultaneously continue its investigations into matters related to SSL,” the Financial Services Commission of Jamaica added.
Usain Bolt retired in the year 2017 after setting records for a decade and winning 11 world championships. The money that he has saved up in his account was intended to serve as “pension” for him and his parents, his lawyer Linton Gordon said.
