The finals of the CWG were dazzling for team India. India finished in the fourth position after Canada with 92 medals. Australia won the most number of medals (178), becoming the first in CWG 2022. England is right behind with 175 medals.
India finishes in the fourth position with 61 medals. The gold tally of team India swells up on day eleven of the Commonwealth, game-winning 22 golds, 16 silver, and 23 bronze medals. The final has been marvelous for the team India. India won four golds, one silver, and one bronze on the final day.
In women’s singles, badminton PV Sindhu beat Canada’s Michelle Li (21-15) and (21-13) in Commonwealth games women’s singles. On the other hand, Lakshya Sen beat Tze Young of Malaysia (19-21 21-9 21-16), winning gold for the India team in men’s badminton singles.
The badminton team of India also won a gold in doubles. The pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty won gold against Sean Vendy and Ben Lane of England.
India’s badminton team also won gold. Anchanta Sharath Kamal won a gold medal winning men’s singles finals by defeating Liam Pitchford of England. G. Sathiyan won bronze in men’s singles TT. However, the hockey team India lost to Australia in the finals (0-7).
