Chhetri got this notable recognition for his goal-scoring achievements.
Fans can view this three-episode-long mini-series on the life of Sunil Chhetri on FIFA+, the official streaming platform of FIFA. FIFA tweeted from their World Cup handle saying –

Chhetri rightfully owns his place after other global football legends like Christiano Ronaldo and Messi. Ronaldo scored 117 goals, and Messi scored 90 next to Ronaldo. Sunil Chhetri rightfully owns the third place after Ronaldo and Messi scoring 84 international strikes.
Over the 38 years old Indian Football star has been one of the best football personalities India has seen.
