Things are not going well for the 22-year-old quarterback Bryce Young. In fact, several fans are blatantly saying that Young probably has one of the worst start to his NFL career. In the very last game against the Bucs, Young’s performance can be best explained as ‘forgettable.’ Throughout the game, Young failed to secure a single TD, and just when things were about to change, Young was intercepted. As a result, the Panthers lost the game against the Bucs with a 21-18 scorecard.
The last loss against the Bucs was the 11th loss for the team. This is one of the highest numbers of losses in the current NFL season. The Panthers recruited Young in 2022 in the hopes of changing things up for the upcoming season. But fate had a different idea, and Bryce went on to become one of the worst-performing QBs of 2023.
Declining Stat
Such abysmal performance by the team and Young has led to Panther’s elimination from the season. The Panthers are officially out of the playoffs this season. Moreover, Young has become one of the most underperforming quarterbacks of this season. For a QB who has played 10 games in a row, his passing rate is somewhere around 74.6%, and his passing yards are just 2,055. Furthermore, Young also has one of the lowest completion ratings (60.9%) than any other QB of the season.
Those who know and have seen Bryce playing will agree that his performance has been on a gradual decline. In fact, he was one of the most sought-after rookies in the previous season, and this season, he landed at 52.9. So what happened? Is he going through something? Does he need help?
